French Onion Soup

One of my dad's favorite meals is just a hot bowl of French Onion Soup.

I decided to make it one night with some homemade chicken stock.

First I caramelized the onions,

 Melting the cheese with the broiler...

 Served with a light citrus dressed salad...

 Fine! It was delicious and the onions were cooked to perfection
